About BodyLogic BodyLogic Health Management provides on site, quality Back Care & Injury Prevention programming for the private and public sectors, in both Canada and the United States. BodyLogic also provides high quality, user-friendly resource material to be used with programming or for distribution to the general public. BodyLogic has earned acclaim as a form of *Quality Preventative Maintenance* for individuals who suffer from or wish to prevent back and neck pain. BodyLogic is a partnership consisting of Gale McKie, R.N., Judy Brooks, & Susan Rock. Each partner is well respected as an excellent communicator and expert in this field. Additionally, the partnership is supported by a high level Advisory Board, and a team of experienced and educated employees.

Gale Mckie – Gale is a graduate of George Brown College, Toronto, Canada, with a degree in nursing. She worked as Director of Mental Health Outpatient Services, and in 1981, became the Occupational Health Nurse for Boise Cascade, Canada, where she began working with back injury problems both locally, and on a corporate level. This work included extensive training with a team of doctors who developed the National Back Fitness Test.

By 1989 Ms. McKie had become a consultant for the National Safety Council and managed its Back Injury Prevention Programming, including speaking on an international level, and training numerous groups within a broad range of environments. McKie joined her partners in developing BodyLogic Health Management to provide highly successful programming to private, and public sector, as well as the direct consumer market.

Judy Brooks – Judy’s want for change while running her own highly successful public relations business, coupled with her passion for health, led her to a profession in wellness during the mid eighties. At that time Ms. Brooks was instrumental in implementing highly successful wellness programs in a number of large organizations, the largest contracts in British Columbia at that time. Training with, and eventually working with, a leading back care doctor propelled her towards consulting specifically in the area of injury prevention, for a diverse clientele. Ms. Brooks’ expertise was quickly recognized, and she was solicited to help create a Doctor Referral Program for insurance claims use, which is still utilized today. With a growing international client list, and seeing the need for more varied programming and resources, Ms. Brooks and her partners created BodyLogic.

Susan Rock – Susan has been in the health management and fitness field for over 15 years. Formerly the owner of a renowned Health Club, and a highly regarded international fitness speaker, in 1990 Susan changed her focus toward Personal Training, with a particular emphasis on Back Care. Ms. Rock ‘s further training in back care came while working in a Back Care Clinic with doctors specializing in individual programming. Ms. Rock’s certification in many fitness organizations, her clinical training and particular interest in Back Injury Prevention lead her and her partners to create BodyLogic.

BodyLogic Advisory Board

Dr. Pierre DesLauriers, DC- Pierre's pre-chiropractic education included 3 years of study at Simon Fraser University (Kinesiology Major) and 2 years at University of British Columbia (PE/Sports Medicine). While at U.B.C. he played for the 1982 C.I.A.U. Championship Football Team. After completing the 4-year course of study at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Dr. DesLauriers graduated in 1987. His professional focus is on family wellness and rehabilitation of sports injuries. In addition to his training as a Chiropractor and Athletic Therapist, he also studied and obtained his Acupuncture Certificate from Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1986. He has been practicing Chiropractic in Vancouver, BC, since 1987.

Greg Grazen, MS, A.T.C.- Greg has 12 years experience in worksite health promotion. He has an MS in Physical Education concentrating in Adult Fitness & Cardiac Rehabilitation from Eastern Illinois University. He did his undergraduate work at the State University of New York at Cortland. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Health Fitness Director & Exercise Specialist in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Over the years, Greg has also become trained and certified as an expert in back care education, evaluation and injury prevention programs, and enjoys working with employees in this area.

Fred Danziger, BS, MA - Fred has a BS in Health Education and Human Performance, and an MA in Exercise Physiology, both from Michigan State University. Fred has worked in corporate health promotion for 7 years. He developed "Exercise to Excellence," which received the Outstanding Wellness Program Award by the American Heart Association in 1995. He presently works with Staywell Health Management where he has been conducting a pilot study for Chrysler Corporation, investigating the effect of a 3 month back care program on employees at risk of back injury. The study has found that all of the participants had either significantly or totally eliminated back pain.

Anthony Blackwell, PT, CPA -Tony, a partner of PRISM Rehabilitation Inc., has been in the injury rehabilitation field for many years. Originally from England, Tony's competitive desire to be the leader in the field of physiotherapy and rehab has contributed to PRISM consistently topping the list of results-oriented rehab clinics in Vancouver, Canada. Tony is an enthusiastic proponent of active rehab, and has a results oriented philosophy that permeates everything in which he participates.
